about

Krassimir Krastev graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the Architecture Faculty at the Technical University of Budapest and with a Master’s degree – from Hochschule Anhalt in Dessau, Germany. He worked in London working for Foster + Partners (2007-2010) and Marks Barfield Architects (2010-2012). With projects such as the Zayed National Museum in Abu Dhabi, this period shaped his further work. In 2013 he established Studio Krastev, pursuing bespoke and meaningful architecture.

In parallel with his practice, Krassimir taught at DIA Dessau, HS Anhalt in Germany (2011–2018), also serving as a visiting professor (2014–2017). His academic work focused on computational design methods, interaction between the built environment and technologies, establishing a robotic fabrication lab, BIM, as well as AI research early in 2017, ahead of the unveiling of large diffusion and language models like ChatGPT.
