Malko Tarnovo 12 is a residential building in the dense urban fabric of Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Studio K created a living environment that balances contemporary architectural elements with the dynamic character of the surrounding cityscape, harmonizing with its context while making optimal use of the limited plot.
The building features a restrained palette of light sandy brick and contrasting dark metal elements. Upper levels are clad in brick with strips of dark render, while the dark metal roof complements the granite footing wall at street level. Dark metal balcony railings define the exterior and are echoed in the interior atrium staircase balustrade. The interior lighting scheme was designed using Studio K’s multi-agent method incorporating AI tools.
